Well, our little baby turned 1 month on Sunday!!! It has flown by. Logan has changed so much. I took him for his 1 month doctor's appt on Tuesday. He weighs 9lbs 3oz now and is 22inches long. So that puts him in the 50th percentile for weight and 75 for height. We are not really sure where the height came from. Definitely not me...haha! Well the life of parenthood has been pretty fun so far. Here are some things I have enjoyed and want to remember about Logan's first month...
- I think I was in shock the first time he peed on me. He was home for one day and it caught me off guard... I screamed bloody murder (like it was really soooo painful) and scared the both of us... since then the pee pee tee pees have come in handy
- I love to watch him sleep. I would just love to know what he is dreaming about as he smiles and laughs even pouts!
- He is trying to figure out how to smile. We have caught a couple so far. The first one we really saw was about a week ago. He just melts my heart!
- He toots just like a grown man...it is so funny how something so loud and stinky can come out of something so small!
- In the last couple of weeks he has started to make all sorts of noises. He mostly grunts when he he is "talking" to us but has started to make sweet little noises. I think he is trying to figure out how to laugh too.
- He make the funniest faces. Jelyn has named the one he makes most often his "zoolander" face. He has another face he makes that is very serious with his eyebrows.
- From his first couple of days of life he started to prop his head up on his fist with his elbow resting on my tummy...it is sooo funny...he does it every time. My favorite time is nursing him and he looks up at me with those big blue eyes.
- Just last week he started breaking out of his swaddle in the mornings there were a couple of funny times when I would go to get him out of his cradle and would find him all out of sorts face planted against the side of his cradle.
- He loves it when we sing to him....we really can't get him to sleep if we don't.
- He has started to make good eye contact and follows us with his eyes when we talk to him. He will follow his toys when we move them back and forth in front of him.
- The first outing we had with him was to the doctor after he had been home for three days. His first restaurant was Texas Road House and he did great. The only time he gets fussy when we are out is if he is hungry. I have only had to feed him in my car so far...not really in public yet. But never fear, I have my handy dandy hooter hider (that is what it is called).
- We graduated from newborn Huggies to number 1...I think we preffer Huggies....I thought I would like Pampers best....don't ask me why

Nothing like a sleeping baby!
This is his "zoolander" face

Our first trip to a restaurant!!!

How could you not be in love!
